MESSAGE FROM THECHAIRPERSON
Akshay Talati MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRPERSON The countdown to 2010 begins…As you all heard by now that in year 2010 the Summer Annual Scientific Seminar will be held in Area 1 and Long Island has been selected as a venue for this event. The Long Island Chapter in its 21st year has come a long way and this is the first time we will be hosting this event. The National chapter as well as the Area 1 committee is counting on all our support to make this a memorable as well as a well attended event. So mark your calendars and spread the word. The May seminar certainly gave a different perspective on our choice for alternative medicine. Not only did we enjoy a new venue with a pool view cocktail hour but we were also engaged in an interesting talk on Homeopathic medicine and learning about the Law of Similars: “that which makes sick shall heal”. A big thank you goes to Amy Rozen for her excellent presentation and sharing her insights into this fascinating science of the “Paradox of Treating Issues by Using Natural Substances that Cause and Cure the Same Symptoms”. Location:
Woodbury Country Club The word on everyone’s mind was the tremendous success of our annual summer picnic. I am sure that everyone is busy not reading my message but looking at the colorful pictures of the beautiful children enjoying the various entertainment at the picnic. I would personally like to thank the organization committee led by Frank Friel, Paul Marotta and Hoda Othman for yet another year of spectacular summer fun. Also this event would not have been possible without the generous support from our sponsors and all the exceptional volunteers, the early morning set up crew, clean up crew and also to our chefs on the grill. Thank you, enjoy the rest of the summer and see you at the Golf outing. Sincerely Akshay Talati LISCC Chair 2008 |
